A Pluto TV series on HBO is set to be cancelled following the US Presidential election, according to reports.
The show, which stars a young woman, has not been picked up by a major broadcaster following the announcement by the White House of Donald Trump’s election victory.
The series is scheduled to be broadcast in the US from September, 2020.
In a statement, Pluto TV said it was cancelling the series.
“We are disappointed to announce that we will not be making an announcement on our production schedule, as we will no longer be in production, with the exception of the first few episodes,” it said.
“Our intent has always been to make the show in a way that is as accessible and engaging as possible, and we want to do this by making it available to people across the globe, regardless of what their politics are.”
The cancellation is based on our commitment to being transparent and honest, and not hiding behind the veil of politics or the media.
“The series, produced by Sky Atlantic, will air in the UK.
It will air alongside other TV series that were cancelled by Pluto TV earlier this year.
