By Chris O’MearaIn the year 2016, the movie industry is still reeling from the tragic deaths of four people and countless others injured during the 2016 Rio Olympics.
But this week, the music of “Deadpool” and “Zooland” were among the most highly-anticipated music selections for the 2016 Summer Olympics, as they were released simultaneously on both the Warner Music and Universal Music websites.
The soundtrack for “DeadPOOL” was the first major surprise for audiences this week.
The soundtrack includes an original track from “DeadPunk” that premiered at the SXSW Film Festival in Austin last year.
The “Zoo” soundtrack, which was released on Tuesday, also featured two previously unreleased tracks, as well as an alternate track for the film’s opening night.
The “Zoos” track, titled “The Last Zoolander,” is the first in the series of “Zo-Pop” films from the late 1980s and early 1990s that featured an animated character and a zoot suit.
The zoot suits have since become staples in many Disney and Pixar films.
The two “Zools” tracks are available to purchase from both Warner Music on iTunes and Universal on Vudu.
